Movers and Shakers of Richmond

A Collaboration with the Richmond Historical Society.

Join us for a fascinating talk about the movers and shakers of old time Richmond.

About the talk:

Richmond being just over 180 years old, has come a long way from being the rural retreat for bankers, merchants, lawyers and doctors.

Richmond has continued to transform and reinvent itself over the many decades.

Richmond’s industrial past played an important role in creating jobs, long term employment and opportunities for new migrants to establish themselves in the country.

At its peak the industrial growth surged on innovation, opportunities and emerging markets.

The Movers and Shakers of Richmond can still be seen through the shells of former factories, warehouses and streets that provided a strong connection to the local community.

Where: Studio 1 Community Hub (15 Barnet Way, Richmond)

When: Sunday Sunday 29th March from 2.30pm to 4pm

This is a free event.
