Richmond Record Club
$3.00
‘Richmond Record Club’ is a monthly community meetup for fans of vinyl, old rock n roll, nostalgia and music from eras gone by.
Led by performer and music researcher James Marples and local historian and Melbourne music aficionado Robert Gray, the club will meet on the second Sunday of each month from 3pm – 4.30pm. starting out on March 14th 2021.
Held at the Old Channel 9 Building’s historic ‘radio room’, we select a record each month to focus on, from ragtime and old Jazz, 40s and 50s crooners such as Paul Anka, Bobby Darin and Frank Sinatra through to the rock n roll of Elvis, Little Richard and Buddy Holly.
The record will be played, discussed with the group and brought to life with photographs and historical information.
Participants will also be encouraged to bring their own records to play.
