About the workshop:
You can learn how to make your own terrarium at home in this easy and fun workshop.
Each layer of material within a terrarium plays it’s part in keeping the mini garden alive and thriving.
This session will provide you with the knowledge you need to make your own terrarium at home, while you follow along with the kit you picked up before the session.
Inside you’ll find all of the layers you’ll need to build your terrarium.
Handy printed instructions are included for future reference, and so are the very important care instructions.
• This is a boxed kit with a plant and all the elements you’ll need
• A layering system perfect for a successful living terrarium
• Use your own store-bought vase or recycle a jar from your cupboard
About Sara Parkinson (Facilitator)
Sara is passionate about helping others learn new crafts and have a go at something they’ve always wanted to try. Not only a qualified Interior Architect and Designer, Sara also has 13 years’ experience teaching beginners how to express their crafty and creative side and understands it’s not always easy when you’re learning how to DIY. Sara’s favourite colour is green, and if it fills her home in the form of a living jungle of plants, that’s perfect.

Kits will need to be picked up from the Richmond Community Learning Centre office ahead of time. Office is located at 15 Barnet Way, Richmond 3121
Participants would need to find a small to medium sized glass vessel to work with. This encourages the upcycle/repurposing of old jars and things.
Also welcomed, any items you’d like to decorate your ‘landscape’ with, such as little figurines or stones you have on hand
